ABOUT
DORAMENDA is the creative journey of Amenda Lo, an artist and goldsmith whose work seamlessly transitions between jewellery, objects, and installations. Her artistic practice is inspired by her diverse upbringing in Hong Kong, Auckland, and Melbourne, where cultural identity and memory intertwine with an ongoing dialogue with nature.
Amenda began by creating jewellery that transforms food, childhood stories, and daily rituals into wearable art. Over time, she has expanded her practice to include larger-scale works, such as installations and collaborative exhibition projects. Throughout these forms, she continues to explore how various materials—ranging from metal and stone to wood and found objects—carry both emotional resonance and cultural significance.
Her work has been showcased internationally, including an appearance at Melbourne’s Radiant Pavilion, where she served as both an exhibitor and co-organizer. Whether her pieces are intimate and worn on the body or are expansive installations that unfold in space, Amenda’s creations are driven by a quest for connection: between people, culture, and the environments they inhabit.
